A minor committed suicide after his parents denied him permission to go and watch the UEFA Champions League last match that happened on May 29th, 2021.
The unfortunate incident took place in Mfangano North Location in Suba North constituency.
Mavin Ochieng’ Okuku, a grade seven pupil at Ramba Primary School, was discovered hanging from a pair of trousers by his mother who went to wake him up.
Reports according to the area Chief; Bernard Oloo indicate that Marvin sought permission to go and watch the match that pitched Chelsea against Manchester City at the nearby trading center called Ramba.
His parents, however, refuse to grant him his request but instead directed him to go and sleep then went ahead to ensure he did not sneak out by locking the door from outside.

It is alleged that the decision to lock him up did not amuse him, therefore prompting him to retaliate by formulating a noose from a pair of trousers and ending his life.
The deceased body lies in Kirindo Mortuary where it was taken.
