President Uhuru Kenyatta has arrived at the Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi to preside over the closing ceremony of the 2022 edition of the annual Magical Kenya Open Golf Tournament.

Other dignitaries, including Azimio la Umoja presidential aspirant Raila Odinga, Cabinet Secretaries Najib Balala, Eugene Wamalwa and Amina Mohamed, Betty Maina have accompanied Uhuru at the closing ceremony.

The Magical Kenya Tournament has been going on since Thursday and attracted 156 players from all over the world.

During the European Tour event, Kenya was represented by 9 pros and 6 amateurs.

18-year-old Njoroge Kibugu flew our Kenyan flag with pride in the final round of DP World Tour's Magical Kenya Open.

He is the only Kenyan amateur to make the cut in the Magical Kenya Open Championship, where he receives a total score of 286 in the four rounds of the event.

Njoroge teed off on Sunday morning for the final round and Kenyans turned up in large numbers to cheer and support the young golfer as he continued to take on opponents at the course.

His best-played holes were number 18, where he had two birdies and an eagle. Njoroge has unquestionably elevated the game's popularity among the youth.
