Jacob ‘Ghost Mulee has been sacked by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) as the head coach of Kenya’s national football team Harambee Stars.

FKF announced the decision to dismiss Mulee through “mutual consent” in a press statement sent to media houses on Tuesday evening following his short lackluster tenure.

In the statement, FKF CEO and General Secretary Barry Otieno also announced the sacking of assistant coach Twahir Muhidin and goalkeeping coach Haggai Azande.

However, assistant coaches Ken Odhiambo and Ken Muluya will remain at the helm of the national team as the federation works to reconstitute the troubled technical bench.

Otieno says the federation is in the process of recruiting a new Harambee Stars coach and will make an announcement on the new technical bench in due course.
