Kenya Power has announced a nationwide power outage affecting most parts of the country, except for the North Rift and sections of the Western regions.

The outage was reported at 9:57 PM on Friday.

"We have lost power supply to various parts of the country except North Rift region and sections of Western region," Kenya Powe announced.

In a statement released to the public, Kenya Power expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and urged customers to be patient as they work to restore power supply as soon as possible.

However, utility company has not yet disclosed the cause of the outage or provided an estimated timeline for restoration. However, they have promised to provide updates on the progress of their efforts.
