In a significant stride towards combating corruption, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Central Regional Office in Nyeri has apprehended Luke Nyasangah, a Detective Constable Inspector from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stationed at Ngano Police Station in Nyandaraua County on Wednesday.

Nyasangah found himself in handcuffs for an egregious act of soliciting a bribe.

The arrest stems from an incident where a local resident fell victim to fraudsters, losing a staggering sum of Sh115,000 via M-Pesa.

"The suspect told the complainant that the bribe was mandatory to facilitate tracking of the fraudsters," EACC affirmed.
