Residents of Kagumo town have a reason to smile after the Kirinyaga County Government installed cabro pavements covering 10,000 square meters to give the busy town a new face.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru says the cabro pavement project will be expanded to all towns across the county to facilitate pedestrians and traders to go about their work.
Waiguru echoed the sentiments of residents that the project implemented in the last three months will change the local landscape and attract investment to foster economic growth.
The cabros cover parking spaces, designated pedestrian walks as well as non-motorable pathways on both sides of the road accompanied by proper storm water drainage systems.
Kagumo resident, Geoffrey Murage, said the project by the Waiguru administration has greatly transformed the face of the area making it easier to navigate the key town.
