The rogue commuter matatu driver, Fredrick Owino, who was filmed hitting a motorist’s vehicle and smashing his windscreen has been released on a Sh90,000 cash bail.
The driver of a Mataara Sacco matatu was recorded on camera while ramming his matatu into the personal car damaging its side mirrors then smashing the windscreen with his bare hands.
Owino was charged at the Makadara Law Courts on Monday with malicious damage to property and committing various traffic offenses.
He pleaded not guilty before he was released on cash bail.
In the viral video, while driving PSV matatu registration number KCK 114P he dares the female passenger in the car to continue recording but there’s nothing that will be done to him.

The driver was apprehended on Saturday after the motorist filed a report at the police station leading to the impounding of the matatu.
