The case facing university student Lawrence Njoroge Warunge, who confessed to killing four family members and a help on January 5, failed to kick off again on Monday at the Kiambu Law Courts.
This is after the prosecution informed the Kiambu Court that Njoroge remained mentally unfit to be tried by the court and further told the court that he was still receiving medication over the ailment.
The university student, who confessed to killing his mother, father, brother, cousin and a farm help will be taken back to Mathari Hospital on March 5 for a review of his mental status.
Kiambu Chief Magistrate Patricia Gichohi on Monday directed the prosecution to prepare an update on the boy’s mental assessment and present it in court on March 15.
Njoroge is currently being detained at the Industrial Area Remand Prison in Nairobi following the shocking murders that have shaken Kiambu County and the whole country at large.
