In a significant breakthrough for law enforcement agencies, Luis Otieno, also known as Lui Borura Nyaoiri, the alleged ringleader of a notorious criminal gang responsible for a spate of house break-ins and burglaries in Kayole Sub-County, has been apprehended by detectives from the DCI Nairobi regional command.

Otieno, who already had a pending court case, was arrested in connection with a series of crimes that left victims counting their losses in thousands of shillings.

The arrest took place when Otieno was behind the wheel of a Mazda Demio, bearing a suspiciously altered registration number—KDM 790K, which had been changed from the original KDD 790K.

His capture marked a significant moment in the ongoing effort to curb criminal activities that have plagued the city's residents.

Following the arrest, officers conducted a search of Otieno's residence, uncovering a trove of stolen items and other incriminating evidence.

Among the recovered items were assorted wristwatches, an antique gun frame wall hanging, mobile phones, tablets, flash disks, earpods, earphones, and a staggering nine rolls of a substance suspected to be a psychotropic substance, which is currently undergoing forensic analysis.

The arrest of Luis Otieno represents a major breakthrough for the DCI Nairobi regional command, which has been working tirelessly to address the escalating crime wave in Kayole Sub-County.

Residents who had been living in fear due to the gang's activities have expressed relief and gratitude to the law enforcement authorities for their swift action.
