In a bid to address the growing concern of substance abuse among the youth, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, the spouse of the Deputy President, has initiated a series of medical camps aimed at rehabilitating individuals struggling with alcohol, drugs, and substance addiction.

The latest endeavour, the Mombasa Medical Camp, was officially launched on Wednesday morning at the Railways Dispensary in the Shimanzi area of Mombasa County.

This outreach follows Pastor Dorcas' visit to various drug-infested neighbourhoods in Mombasa County earlier this year, during which she engaged with addicts firsthand.

Aligned with her broader "boychild" initiative, Pastor Dorcas seeks to uplift the lives of thousands of young men across the nation by providing them with much-needed assistance and rehabilitation.

The launch of the Mombasa Medical Camp represents a significant step in this direction.

The camp is strategically designed to offer comprehensive treatment and support to those grappling with addiction, empowering them to reclaim their lives and reintegrate into society.

Moreover, this noble cause is not confined to Mombasa alone. Reports suggest that another medical camp is poised to be inaugurated in the Miritini area later this week, indicating the commitment of Pastor Dorcas to extend her efforts and make a meaningful impact on a national scale.

This initiative is part of a wider network of programs orchestrated by Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.

Earlier this month, she established a treatment camp at the ASK Jamhuri Grounds in Nairobi, where over 80 young men are currently undergoing intensive therapy and rehabilitation. Furthermore, a cohort of more than 100 men is nearing graduation from a rehabilitation centre in Timau, Meru County.

An additional 50 individuals are undergoing a transformative rehabilitation process at a facility in Limuru, Kiambu County, all under the guidance and support of the Deputy President's spouse.

As substance abuse continues to pose challenges to the social fabric and the well-being of young people in Kenya, Pastor Dorcas's unyielding dedication to combating this issue is gaining widespread recognition.

Her compassionate approach, combined with tangible efforts such as the Mombasa Medical Camp, reflects a promising path forward in tackling addiction and reintegrating affected individuals into productive and healthy lives.

In her pursuit of a brighter future for the nation's youth, Pastor Dorcas stands as a beacon of hope and positive change, determined to steer individuals away from the grips of addiction and towards a journey of recovery and growth.
