A rally organised by allies of Deputy President William Ruto was dispersed by anti-riot police officers in Nakuru on Saturday.
Videos circulating on social media on Saturday have captured a motorcade said to be of the political leaders allied to Ruto driving through a cloud of teargas.
Tens of politicians were set to attend a public rally to campaign for London Ward UDA party candidate Antony Nzuki Wachira.
Reports say that irate youth stoned the anti-riot police officers who were blocking the road on the way to Paprigano hotel, the venue of the said rally.
Another video also captured Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika, Nyali MP Mohamed Ali and his Dagoretti counterpart John Kiarie confronting police at the barricade over the drama.

The leaders allied to the DP later proceeded with their campaigns for Wachira at UDA headquarters in Nakuru, where politics of succession dominated.
