In an emotionally charged press release, Siaya County Deputy Governor William Oduol expressed his profound gratitude to everyone who stood by him throughout his challenging journey, acknowledging their unwavering support in the fight against corruption.

Oduol began by acknowledging the divine intervention and the immense contribution of his legal team, the senate committee, his family, friends, and, above all, the people of Siaya.

With humility and gratitude, he stated, "This journey has been challenging, but it has also been a tremendous learning experience for me. I have come to realize that fighting corruption is an expensive affair."

Undeterred by the obstacles faced, Oduol reaffirmed his commitment to serving Siaya County with unwavering dedication and principle.

"I want to assure the people of Siaya that my fight against corruption has always been driven by ideology, not personal gain," he declared.

"Together, with those who share the same goodwill and faith, we aim to make Siaya County great by eradicating corruption and creating a zone of integrity."

The Deputy Governor took a moment to acknowledge his boss, Governor James Orengo, assuring him of his readiness and commitment to working alongside their assembled team to deliver on their ambitious 'It is possible' (Nyalore) manifesto.

"I want to assure my boss, H. E. James Orengo, that I am ready and committed to working with him and the team we assembled to deliver on our 'It is possible' (Nyalore) manifesto." Oduol said.

Oduol emphasized the importance of unity of purpose for both the executive and assembly, urging all members to collaborate in making devolution work for the people of Siaya County.

Expressing his appreciation for the efforts of various stakeholders, Oduol welcomed the support of the ODM party, respected elders, MCAs, professionals, and Siaya residents in facilitating reconciliation between the Governor and himself.

He called for a collective effort to bring about positive change and progress, emphasizing the need to harness the power of unity.

Addressing his supporters directly, Oduol appealed for a celebration of their victory with decorum, reminding them that this triumph belonged to the people of Siaya.

"Let us join forces to bring about positive change and progress," he urged, envisioning a brighter future for the county.

Oduol also expressed his deep gratitude to all those who stood by him and echoed his unwavering commitment to the Siaya County cause.

"Thank you for your unwavering support," he said, closing with a heartfelt plea, "May God bless Siaya County."

This comes just a day after Kenya Kwanza senators saved Oduol's neck from an imminent impeachment by marshaling their numbers to reject the Ad-hoc committee's report that had recommended his removal from office.
