Three suspects are presently under arrest following the murder of Pastor David Slyvester Ngeiwa, who was ruthlessly killed on April 7, 2023, in Kaptama, Mt. Elgon area, Bungoma County.

Job Mosobin, also known as Malilo, Geoffrey Kimutai, also known as Kus Kus, and Andrew Ngeiwa, also known as Michuki, were apprehended following the gruesome murder, after they intercepted Pastor David Ngeiwa as he shut his shop at approximately 9 p.m. on the ill-fated night.

The criminals, armed with an AK-47 assault rifle, shot the clergyman in the abdomen before absconding with an unknown amount of money, leaving the body of the gravely injured man of God lying on the ground.

Attempts by well-wishers to rescue the pastor's life proved unfruitful, as he succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical care at Sikotia Medical Centre.

A manhunt for the suspects was immediately launched, and with the help of the public, the three were nabbed and taken into custody.

A mission to retrieve the firearm used in the assault is currently underway, whereas a motorbike used as the escape vehicle by the criminals has since been impounded.
