The National Police Service has joined the tree-planting drive to protect the environment.

The Commandant of the National Police College Main Campus Kiganjo, Bruno Shiosho, AIG, and his counterpart at the National Police College Embakasi 'A' Campus, James Kamau, AIG, have begun planting trees at their respective institutions.

By the end of this week, Shiosho and his team will have planted an additional 3000 trees, bringing the total number of trees planted to 6,000 since the exercise began last December.

The objective is to have 10,000 trees planted in Kiganjo by 2023.

On Thursday 29th March 2023, Kamau also led the Embakasi "A" Campus Staff, Officers from RDU and APS Band in planting 2,244 trees at the college.

This move is in line with the National Government's initiative launched last year to plant 15 billion trees by 2032.
