The High Commission said the particular infected soldiers had been isolated at a quarantine facility within the camp in Nanyuki, Laikipia County.
Other troops under the British Army Training Unit (BATUK) are also in isolation and undergoing regular medical checks and are set to be released once they are confirmed not to be infected.
The statement further reveals that Kenyan employees who are working under BATUK have been directed to work from home to further protect the local communities from the virus.
BATUK said it is working with Laikipia County leadership, health authorities and Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) and internal containment measures to reduce the impact of the confirmed cases.
BATUK contributes significantly to the UK-Kenya defence partnership and has contributed Sh5.8 billion to the Kenyan economy since 2016 even as troops were reduced drastically in 2020 due to the pandemic.
