Also in attendance was Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Amani National Congress (ANC) Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi and a host of governors and Members of Parliament.
Members of the general public followed Mzee Moi's first anniversary mass through lives stream on giant screens mounted outside the Kabarak home.
However, only KTN, which is owned by the Moi family, was allowed to cover the event as other members of the Fourth Estate were barred outside the gates.

The late Moi was President Kenyatta’s mentor and endorsed him for his first presidential run on an independence party KANU ticket in 2002 where he lost to retired President Mwai Kibaki.
Moi died at Nairobi Hospital on February 4, 2020 at the age of 95 and is believed to have been suffering from Alzheimer's disease and was later hospitalised for multiple organ failure.
