Police in Marsabit have arrested a notorious robbery with violence suspect that has been on their watchlist.

The suspect’s arrest on Monday came after the detectives raided a house in Badassa village in Jaldesa location, from where they arrested the 20-year-old suspect identified as Gayo Jattani. 

Jattani led the detectives to a bush in the Marsabit National Park, where they recovered a firearm with a magazine full of 30 rounds of ammunition.

The detectives also recovered a police jungle shirt, a jungle belt, a cleaning kit and 33 more rounds of ammunition during the operation.

Police are holding Jattani at the Marsabit Police Station as he awaits his arraignment.
