A serious accident involving several vehicles has occurred in the Lela area along the Kisumu-Ahero Highway.

The accident happened on Sunday morning when a salon car driver lost control and hit a trailer before swerving off the busy road.

As the vehicle was swerving, other vehicles which were on the road rammed into it, sending others sprawling into a nearby ditch.


The accident caused a traffic jam on that section of the busy highway as well-wishers from the area rushed to the scene to rescue the accident victims.

So far, no fatalities have been recorded from the incident, but several people have reportedly been injured.
