Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition leader Raila Odinga’s wife Ida Odinga has called out a section of politicians in the Nyanza region for criticising Raila, especially after his failure to clinch the presidency in the August elections.

She was speaking on Monday during a thanksgiving prayer in Homa Bay Town, organised by the county Woman Representative Joyce Osogo.

Ida, while addressing residents of Homa Bay, noted that there are some politicians in the region who also failed to bag various elective positions in the August elections and are now castigating her husband and family.

She disclosed that the same people who are persecuting her family wined and dined at the Odinga’s home before the elections.

“I remember how some of them would dine with us from breakfast to lunch and supper in my house,” Ida said.

Ida advised those people persecuting her family against witch hunts for political mileage.

“People don’t succeed through political witch-hunts,” Ida said.

She appealed to the politicians to cease mocking her husband’s loss to President William Ruto in the last presidential election.
