The total number of fatalities from Covid-19 in
Kenya has risen to 711 after four more people succumbed to the disease.
This was announced on Wednesday by Health CAS Dr
Rashid Aman as he also disclosed that 151 new cases of the novel virus had been
reported in 24 hours.
The
country’s total caseload now stands at 38,529 with the new infections being
confirmed positive from 547 samples tested across the country.
The new cases
comprise of 145 Kenyans and 6 foreign nationals.

of the new Coronavirus patients are male and 54 female, with the oldest patient
being 82 while the youngest was a one-year-old baby.

Across counties, Nairobi still leads in new
infections with 32 cases followed by Nakuru 24, Kisumu 22, Garissa 14, Mombasa 10,
Meru 8 and Kajiado 8, Kisii 6.
Bomet and Kiambu counties recorded 5 cases each,
Siaya 3, Uasin Gishu 2, while Kilifi, Marsabit, Murang’a and West Pokot confirmed
2 new cases each.
On
the other hand, Kakamega, Bungoma, Nyamira, and Kitui counties recorded single cases
each, with the total recoveries in Kenya increasing to 24,908.
