The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga left the country on Sunday for a week-long trip to several nations around the globe.

Raila took to his Twitter account to announce his journey whose first stop will be India.

“Baba has left the country for a week's visit to several nations, starting with India; see you all when I’m back,” Raila said.

In his tweet, Raila also left a parting shot for his chief competitor in the previous election President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Raila challenged Ruto and his team to stop what he termed as lamentations.

“Meanwhile, can William Ruto & Kenya Kwanza stop it with the lamentations?” he said.

This is perhaps because even after Ruto took leadership of the country, he and his team have always blamed the previous administration for the current economic state.

Raila’s remarks echoed the opinions of a section of Kenyans who have been asking the Kenya Kwanza administration to deliver on the promises they made during the campaign instead of blaming the previous administration which they were part of.
