A witness in the Sh63 billion Arror and Kimwarer dams scandal case against former Treasury CS Henry Rotich has withdrawn and refused to give his evidence to the court.
The witness named Gideon Kiprotich said he had not been informed that he was required as a prosecution witness in the case.
Kiprotich further disowned the statement Special Prosecutor Taib Ali Taib presented before the court saying he had never recorded such a statement.
Speaking before Trial Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi, Kiprotich said officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) had only called him on Wednesday and asked him to appear before the Anti-Corruption Court in Milimani, Nairobi to give his testimony.
The new twist of events surrounding the mega scandal forced the court to adjourn the case until November 12, 2022.
