The Public Service Commission (PSC) has extended the deadline for submission of applications for the positions of principal secretaries by a week.

PSC CEO Simon Rotich, in a statement issued on Tuesday, announced the extension.

This means the deadline has been pushed to September 27, 2022, from the initial date of September 20, 2022.

“The Public Service Commission has extended the deadline for submission of applications for the advertised positions of Principal Secretaries in the public service from today 20th September 2022 to Tuesday 27th September 2022,” the statement partly read.

The extension has been made to allow interested applicants more time to submit their applications.

“Interested applicants now have seven more days to apply for the positions that are expected to fall vacant following the General Elections held on 9th August 2022,” the statement read.

The positions to be filled are expected to become vacant following the August 9, 2022, general election.

Rotich appealed to interested applicants to utilise the additional time to submit their applications.
