Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has appointed a Nairobi City County health reforms task force.
Sakaja announced the formation of the task force via a statement issued on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the task force is to review and propose reforms in the Nairobi City County Health Sector.
"It is notified for general information of the public that The Governor of Nairobi, H.E. Sakaja Arthur Johnson, CBS, has appointed a taskforce to review and propose reforms in the Nairobi City County Health Sector," the statement read.
Sakaja also appointed the former Kenyatta University Vice Chancellor Olive Mugenda to chair the task force.

Also appointed to the Nairobi City County health reforms task force is the Heath CAS Mercy Mwangangi.
The task force will be charged with reviewing the Nairobi County residents' access to quality health services and access the status of all public health facilities.
It will also review the supply chain management of both pharma and non-pharma products.
Apart from those, the task force will also access the status of Health Information Management and propose interventions toward a comprehensive Health Information Management System.
The Mugenda-lead task force will also review the existing human resource capacity and access the gaps and recommend an efficient health financing mode.
The governor said that the task force shall prepare and submit its report and recommendations to him within forty-five days of its formation.
"The Taskforce shall prepare and submit its report to the Governor of Nairobi City County Government together with its recommendations within Forty-Five (45) days from the date of its appointment," Sakaja said.
"The Office of the Governor shall constitute the secretariat of the Taskforce."

The formation of the task force comes shortly after Sakaja toured Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital and found a deplorable situation there in which patients shared beds and the hospital was also understaffed.
He promised to improve the situation as he apologised for the state of the hospital
