The Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has brushed off allegations rife on social media that he reached out to President-elect William Ruto.
Kalonzo dismissed the rumours, saying they were a creation of individuals with ulterior motives.
He asserted he will meet the president-elect openly and at the right time albeit, after consulting his party and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leadership.
Kalonzo said that on Saturday when he went to condole with the family of mama Elizabeth at Mukalala Village in Yatta, Machakos County.
"If I want to meet him, I will do it openly after meeting with Azimio and Wiper members," Kalonzo said.

He added that he forgave those who peddled the rumours.
“We forgive you, we have every reason to forgive each other as we lay to rest mama Elizabeth," Kalonzo said.
On the Supreme Court verdict that upheld Ruto’s win in the last presidential election, Kalonzo echoed the Azimio coalition’s stand of abiding by it even though they disagree with the same.
"We didn't agree with the Supreme Court verdict, but we abide by it. We will swallow our bitterness for the sake of this country,” Kalonzo said.
Regardless of that, Kalonzo congratulated Ruto for his victory, saying that they have respect for him.
Kalonzo said they were ready to take up their position in the opposition while he strategises on the way forward.
He hinted that he had already launched his presidential campaign ahead of the 2027 general election and promised that even though they were in the opposition, they will prioritise the construction of the Yatta Dam.
"We will give Yatta dam a priority. Even if we will be in opposition, we will push for its construction among other things," Kalonzo said.
"It is good for us to be in the opposition to deal with these people. Five years is a short time, we are going to serve in opposition to our level best."
