Chaos erupted at Kiamunyi Secondary School polling centre in Nakuru after irate voters kicked out of the Nakuru Town East MP-elect David Gikaria out of the station.

The voters said they did not want the United Democratic Alliance party-affiliated MP at the polling centre, fearing he would tamper with the voting process while accusing him of voter bribery.

Gikaria is not new to election-related chaos as he was previously arrested during the August 9, election allegedly for causing chaos at two different polling stations within Nakuru Town East constituency.

He sparked a fight with an MCA candidate in one incident and later with a group of rowdy youth in two vans interrupted the voting process at Naka Primary School.

Gikaria went to Mercy Njeri Primary School polling centre on Monday morning at a6 am and camped there for three hours before moving to Kiamunyi Secondary School from where he was denied access and eventually thrown out.

Last week, when Deputy President-elect Rigathi Gachagua was in the area to drum up support for Candidate Paul Chebor, agreed on the deployment of elected UDA MPs and governors to monitor the election in the 197 polling stations within Rongai.
