The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has cautioned members of the public against fraudsters masquerading as EACC officials and issuing bogus integrity certificates at a cost.

The commission noted that it does not charge any fees for processing self-declaration EACC clearance forms.

EACC took to its social media to warn the public about those unscrupulous characters.

“EACC has learnt of fraudsters issuing FAKE INTEGRITY CLEARANCE CERTIFICATES to unsuspecting members of the public at a fee. It is hereby clarified that EACC DOES NOT CHARGE ANY FEES for processing SELF DECLARATION FORMS (EACC Clearance),” the statement read.

The EACC also appealed to members of the public who have any information that may lead to the arrest of the fraudsters to come forward and offer it to the commission for further action.

“Any person with relevant information is called upon to promptly share the same with the Commission for further action. This also applies to cases of fraudsters impersonating EACC Investigators & extorting money from the public,” EACC said.
