The Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leader Raila Odinga has said the truth about what transpired during the recent election will start coming out on Monday as the process to challenge the presidential election result begins.

Raila was speaking on Sunday during a church service he attended together with other Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition at the Jesus Teaching Ministry in Donholm, Embakasi East, Nairobi.

Raila reiterated they won the presidential election and unless the court rules on the matter and the truth come out, he will not reconcile with their rivals in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

"There will be no reconciliation until the truth is known. That truth we will show starting tomorrow," Raila said.

"Our spirit will not be muzzled by looters and thieves. We stand with you, we will not be swayed or intimidated."

He assured their supporters that he will not back out until the Supreme Court’s verdict.

Raila used the biblical imagery of King David’s story to emphasise he will reclaim his victory which was taken away from him.

“We will conquer them and capture all they have looted. This David will follow the David of the Bible. There's no doubt in our minds that Kenyans spoke loudly on the 9th. That voice will not be muzzled,” Raila said.

His running mate Martha Karua who was also in attendance echoed Raila’s sentiments saying only the truth will set everyone free and lasting peace will only come with justice.

“The truth shall set all of us free. Without justice, there can be no lasting peace and all we are seeking is justice,” Karua said.

The Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka who also attended the church service with the other Azimio leaders said the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) short-changed Kenya, based on its decisions that he felt were unwarranted such as the postponement of the Mombasa and Kakamega gubernatorial elections.

“What's happening in Mombasa, Kakamega and the four constituencies clearly tells Kenyans IEBC has short-changed the country, no general election has taken place. The only time you can postpone an election is if there is a general emergency, intimidation cannot stop the process,” Kalonzo said.

The Azimio coalition rejected the presidential election results that were announced by the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, who named William Ruto as the winner and President-elect.

They said they will file a petition at the Supreme Court to challenge the presidential results as announced.
