The Vice Chairperson of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Juliana Cherera has asked Kenyans to stop personalising issues and linking her previous photos with her Monday's pronouncement.

She was reacting to photos of her and other notable individuals with whom she had worked in the past.

Cherera took to her Twitter account on Wednesday to reiterate her stand and that of three other commissioners with whom they denounced the presidential election results announced by the IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati.

“My colleagues and I have indicated irregularities in the Presidential tallying process. It is not fair to personalize issues,” Cherera wrote.

Cherera maintained that photos from her previous positions have no bearing in the matter that they laid bare, in front of the public.

“Photos of me discharging duties in my previous position have nothing to do with the facts we have laid bare,”

On Monday, Cherera led commissioners Justus Nyang’aya, Francis Wanderi and Irene Masit in walking out and disowning the results released by Chebukati in an acrimonious session at Bomas of Kenya.

She accused Chebukati of conducting the final tallies in the backend of Bomas to their exclusion, terming the final presidential tallying process opaque.
