The Ministry of Health (MOH) has cautioned Kenyans about the widespread flu that has been largely experienced in the country’s capital.
While speaking on Monday, the MOH Acting Director-General Patrick Amoth advised those who have already been infected by the flu or have flu-like symptoms to remain home.
This, he said would inhibit the spread of the flu to other people since flu, common cold, Covid-19 and other respiratory tract infections are highly transmissible.
"If you have flu-like symptoms please stay at home don't go to work and expose other people because flu, common cold and Covid, like other respiratory tract infections, are highly transmissible," Amoth said.
Amoth also offered more advice on preventive measures Kenyans can take to avoid getting infected by the flu.
