The Jubilee Party has nominated Peter Kenneth and Sabina Chege as the preferred candidates for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition deputy president selection panel.
The party’s Elections Board chairperson Stephen Wandeto presented the Kenneth’s and Sabina’s names to the coalition on Thursday.
“We refer to the above subject matter and forward herewith names of persons proposed by Jubilee Party for consideration as the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Deputy President Nominees; 1) Hon. Peter Kenneth and Hon. Sabina Chege,” the statement read.
The seven-member panel led by Noah Wekesa gave a Thursday deadline to all political parties under the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition to nominate members from their respective political parties for consideration for flag-bearer Raila Odinga’s running mate.
"Constituent party members of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance that wish to nominate any person for consideration as a candidate for the position of Deputy President to submit the name by April 5," the statement read.
