Sirisia Member of Parliament John Waluke has advised the Kenya Kwanza presidential aspirant William Ruto to step down from the presidential race and back Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

Waluke was speaking at Sinoko PEFA church in Matulo Ward in Webuye West Constituency in Bungoma County

He told Ruto that he was still young and could patiently wait until Raila completes his two 5-year terms as the president of Kenya.

“The DP is still young and can wait until Raila is done with his term to contest the presidency,” Waluke said.

Waluke said he was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to spearhead the Azimio la Umoja Campaigns in the Western region.

He also vowed to use his energy to rally the region being Raila in the August election.

“I was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta to lead the Azimio team in the entire Western region and I will deliver as agreed,” Waluke said.

Waluke urged voters in Bungoma to support Raila’s presidential bid and vote for him in August.

Waluke, who was a staunch supporter of the deputy president ditched Ruto’s UDA and joined President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee party in March.
