A car dealer based in Dagoretti Corner along Ngong Road, Nairobi is counting losses running into millions of shillings after a matatu lost control and rammed his yard.


Based on CCTV footage captured from an adjacent building and has been widely circulating on social media, the white car is seen ramming three brand new white Mercedes Benzes.

Stanley Karungu, one of the Mercedes Center Limited directors, told Swala Nyeti that three white Mercedes Benzes, which were on display at the  yard, were damaged during the crash.

Nairobi traffic police boss Joshua Omukata told Citizen Digital the incident was not reported at the Kilimani Police Station but police were treating it as a case of careless driving.

Omukata urged all road users to be cautious while on the road noting that most city road accidents were avoidable if only drivers were more cautious, especially during rush hours.


Mercedes Center is owned and operated by Stanley Mwangi and a business partner and they had only established the center specialising in luxury Mercedes Benzes two years ago.
