Treasury CS Ukur Yatani-led UPIA party has endorsed Azimio la Umoja presidential flag-bearer Raila Odinga for president.
UPIA endorsed Raila during the party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC) held at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday.
Raila addressed UPIA NDC after his endorsement and thanked the party for endorsing his presidential bid.
“I would wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to UPIA members for unanimously endorsing my presidential bid in the forthcoming election. I say thank you so much,” Raila said.
Raila urged the party members to work together with him as he explained the handshake between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta was to unite all Kenyans into becoming one people.

He appealed to Kenyans to live in peace and harmony with no form of discrimination.
"Let us dwell in peace and harmony with one another in an environment in the absence of racial, tribal, religious, gender or age imparity because all people are the same," Raila said.
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DAP-K party leader Wafula Wamunyinyi also attended the UPIA party NDC.
