Popular Kenyan musician Kevin Kioko or better known as Bahati has joined other celebrities in politics.

Bahati declared his interest in the Mathare Constituency parliamentary seat.

He revealed his intention to contest for the seat on Friday and joined the Jubilee party through with he will contest for the seat.

Bahati took to his Instagram account to declare his interest in the seat.

Through the same announcement, Bahati also declared his support for Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

“This is to Officially Confirm that I KEVIN BAHATI KIOKO I will be Vying as Member of Parliament Mathare Constituency Under the JUBILEE/ AZIMIO Ticket and My Preferred Presidential Cardidate is H.E Raila Amolo Odinga The 5th! #BAHATI2022,” Bahati wrote.

Jubilee party by the party’s Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni and the party’s director of election Kanini Kega received welcomed Bahati into the party at the party’s headquarters.

Bahati who recently released a song entitled 'Fire' featuring Azimio flag beare Raila.

Bahati has joined a long list of celebrities who joined politics including, Rufftone, Jalang’o, MC Jesse, Maji Maji, among others.
