KANU has affirmed its position in OKA and dismissed reports that circulated across a section of the media that it has threatened to quit.

The party’s chairman Gideon Moi took to his Twitter account to dispel the reports saying his party is firmly in OKA.

He emphasised OKA’s position about engagement with other parties such as Azimio la Umoja.

“KANU is firmly in OKA and we are united as a coalition. Our position is that our talks with Azimio and any other parties, must be structured, open and honest,” Gideon said.

“Therefore, KANU has not changed its position whatsoever as reported by a section of the media.”

He further said they are committed to the cause of OKA and would stand by it until they reach a common ground in the ongoing talks.

“We are committed to the cause of OKA and we are not about to deviate from that path until an amicable position has been attained in the on-going talks,” Gideon said.

A section of the media had reported that KANU threatened to quit OKA and join Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja movement.
