Jirongo thanked Uhuru for actualising his dream of leaving Kenya a united nation.

“I would like to thank His Excellency the President, I see your dream to leave The Republic of Kenya united becoming true because these citizens especially the leaders have their own agenda. Hon. Gideon and I carried fire extinguishers every day to ensure we have the Azimio - One Kenya Alliance from where we will have one leader through due process to ensure the country is united. We will all rally behind that one leader to the ballot,” Jirongo said.

Moi said OKA has agreed that they will work with like-minded people.

“For now you know that we are in One Kenya Alliance. In One Kenya Alliance, we have agreed that we will work with those who are like-minded. People who share the same ideals and values as we do,” Gideon said.

“Your Excellency where there is no peace the person who bear the brand of terrible conflicts is mother and child and we pray that this will never happen again in this country. Mandera Governor

“His Excellency you had a dream and you believed in your dream and decided on behalf of Kenyans as a leader of this country to invite our leaders who would have been on opposing sides to one government. That is no longer a dream but an assurance. Congratulations and we are together and we will continue working together,” Roba said.

PAA leader Kingi also lauded Uhuru and Raila for bringing peace in the country by the single act of the handshake. He said the two ought to be recognized for the Nobel Peace Prize.

“Kindly join me in celebrating one act that was done by two great sons of this country and that is Raila Amolo Odinga and His Excellency the President. This act, were it not for that one act, we wouldn't be sitted here today. It happened on the 9th of March 2018. I have been searching what qualities an act needs to meet to win a Nobel prize, and that act fits every aspect. And I don’t know why Raila Odinga and Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta have not been awarded that international peace Nobel prize. We celebrate them and we love them,” Kingi said.

He urged the Azimio - OKA leaders to hasten the process of choosing their presidential candidate and assured Uhuru of all the parties’ support.

Kingi said should the outfit fail to emerge as the winner in the August general elections the consequences will be dire.

“If this formation does not sit in State House all these will go to waste. We will be exposed, we will be slaughtered and you know who will slaughter us, and he will star with you,” Kingi cautioned.

Wamunyinyi assured the OKA team that their decision to join Azimio was the best one and urged to work together in ensuring Raila succeeds Uhuru.

Kenya Union Party’s Lonyangapuo said the direction Uhuru is taking the country is the direction everyone is safe for posterity.

“I give you my promise and that one of OKA that we are together on this journey but we will negotiate structure, dialogue, honest conversation correcting even historical imbalances because building a coalition is not easy.”

Raila on his part revealed why Azimio La Umoja was initiated. He lauded President Uhuru for working with a government that was partly sabotaging his efforts.

“I want to thank my brother Uhuru Kenyatta for standing firm as he was working with a government that had wrangles. Part of the government is working and the other half of the government is sabotaging the work of the government,” Raila said.

Raila assured Uhuru that the next government will pick up from where he left and continue with his legacy.

“We have said whatever will happen, there will be change and continuation in the government that should be coming in,” he said.

Raila said he was happy they were coming together with other leaders to walk the journey together and reiterated nothing can overcome them if they stood together.

“I am happy we are getting back together. We will walk together. I am sure if we stand together nothing can overcome us,” Raila asserted.
