The CBC was introduced in 2017 to replace the 8-4-4 system of education after research and development y the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD).
The tweet was received with mixed reactions from KOT who shared their thoughts about the same and here are a few of them:
On this the anc is wrong! My pp1 kid is able to read while I only started to read when I was in STD 5. They should talk of ways of bettering cbc

What’s controversial about CBC?

Who was not involved in designing it?
Who claims it’s implementation is hurried?
Bambana na hali yenu bwana, achana na watoto unless you want to tear-gas them again
CBC is aligning education to technology- away from wheelbarrows
I don't know who needs to hear this, but Cbc is a good system of education that will help the children to major on what the child has the potential in doing. Not everyone is academically talented. But with cbc the child can learn and specialize in the area he or she is talented
