A pilot flying solo crash-landed a light aircraft in Kiambu County near Tatu City.

The incident involving a Cessna registration number 5Y-CFT happened on Thursday evening.

Ruiru Police Boss Justus Ombati confirmed the incident.

The aircraft was being flown by a pilot identified as Captain Leon Juma from Naivasha to Tatu Airfield Limited Airstrip.

Unfortunately, the aircraft developed a mechanical problem, forcing Juma to crash land near Nova Pioneer School.

Tatu Airfield Limited Manager reported the accident to the police who rushed to the scene.

Luckily the pilot escaped unhurt from the accident however, the aircraft was extensively damaged.
