The ODM leader also promised to improve livestock farming in Kajiado, since the people of the region are largely livestock farmers. He promised to create more opportunities for the livestock farmers by adding value to their trade.

“The people of Kajiado are livestock farmers and I would like to see livestock farming benefiting our people. We will improve the breed of cattle here so that we can add value to our livestock farming. This will see the introduction of milk processing factories and tanneries for the leather,” Raila said.

“You have the Amboseli National Park, which does not benefit you. We will ensure it does by following the example of Maasai Mara. At the same time, KWS should care more about human life than wild animals. People affected by the animal invasion to be compensated by the government,” Raila said.
