Six people have died on Monday morning following a suspected Al Shabaab attack at Widhu Majembeni are in Lamu.
Irungu Macharia, the Lamu County Commissioner confirmed the incident.
According to police report, the attackers shot dead one victim, hacked another victim to death while the four other victims were burnt to death in their house that was set ablaze by the terrorists.
Security agencies had already anticipated the attack after siting the terrorist gang in Boni forest.
Residents of WIdhu Majembeni are currently living in fear of more attacks as security has been beefed up in the region.
