Kirinyaga Woman Representative and 2022 gubernatorial aspirant Wangui Ngirichi has stripped all her campaign vehicles and office of UDA branding.

Ngirichi removed Deputy President William Ruto’s colours from her campaign cars, trucks and even repainted the previously UDA office.

The moves comes just hours after the woman representative broke ranks with UDA.

Ngirici ditched UDA to vie for governor as an independent candidate in 2022 general election on Wednesday.

She cited favouritism of her nemesis Governor Ann Waiguru by the UDA top leadership.

Ngirichi said she was summoned to the UDA headquarters in the city was asked to shelve her gubernatorial ambitions and vie for the parliamentary seat instead.

"When I appeared at the party headquarters, they told me to give up my governor bid and seek the Mwea Constituency parliamentary seat on a UDA ticket. I refused," Ngirici said.

The aggrieved woman representative walked out on UDA casting her doubts upon the credibility of the party’s primaries.
