The National Government has partnered with Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) to train youth, small and medium business owners and other stakeholders on online business in Nyanza region.

The program is under the observance of the ministry of ICT and it aims at equipping business stakeholders and youth with skills on online business, hence promoting the digital sector in the Country.

Addressing various business stakeholders at the event, KEPSA CEO Martha Cheruto said that the organization has joined hands with the national government to reduce the alarming rate of unemployment among Kenyan youths.

“There are many businesses and job opportunities which the youth and traders can do online for income. We are training them through the ‘Ajira digital’ program so that they can access the opportunities that are available online,” she said.

Cheruto said that the training in Homa Bay County is part of the planned trainings meant for Counties  with the next one scheduled to take place in Kisumu City next week.

The program has since been dubbed as 'Ajira Digital'.
