Four youths have been arrested for allegedly heckling and causing chaos during a rally held by Deputy President William Ruto in Kisii on Wednesday.
The four, who were said to be drunk and disorderly, heckled Ruto while he was addressing a crowd at Itibo market.
The arrest of the foursome sparked protests from another group of youth which stormed Itibo Police Post in a bid to free their colleagues.
Their action forced the police to fire in the air and lob tear gas to disperse the irate youth.
Benjamin Rotich, the Sameta OCPD said the four will be arraigned in court on Thursday and charged with rowdiness and attempting to cause chaos during the DP’s rally.
