“I wish to celebrate John Maina Muthoni, formerly of 2NK, a heroic driver who courageously reported students upon realizing that they were smoking bhang and drinking alcohol,” Kahiga said.
Kahiga said drug abuse is a crime that breaks the hearts of many parents and ruins young men and women.
He also condemned drug abuse on very strong terms.

“Drugs abuse is a crime that breaks the hearts of many parents and ruins the lives of many young men and women and we condemn it at the highest level,” he added.
The governor’s promise comes after Directorate of Criminal Investigations Director George Kinoti asked Muthoni to reach him or present himself at the DCI headquarters on Tuesday.
Kinoti lauded the Muthoni for his noble deed and said his employer should have commended him for being brave and risking his life to report the serious crimes of immorality that involved high school kids instead of being dismissed.
The former NACADA boss John Mututho also promised Muthoni a lucrative job in which Muthoni would be driving VIPs. Mututho also asked Muthoni to contact him.
A large section of Kenyans sympathised with Muthoni and condemned the action taken by 2NK SACCO. They commended, encouraged and wished Muthoni well.
