PS Karanja Kibicho has challenged National Government officials, including chiefs, to ensure social cohesion in their regions.

Kibicho was speaking during a meeting with national government administration officers in Kitui County.
He told them to ensure all national laws are implemented at the lowest level.

Over 5,000 assistant chiefs and over 2,000 chiefs have been employed across the country by his office since he came into the Interior office.
He lauded Chiefs and assistant chiefs for playing a critical role in unclogging the judicial system by resolving domestic problems at their levels using their wisdom.
Kibicho said chiefs and their assistants should come from the same location they serve in as they better understand its challenges.

He challenged chiefs to go back to school and learn something relevant to their roles and scheme of service to help them in career progression.
Vacant chiefs' positions will be filled by assistants to ensure career progression and continuity.
He has assured the administrators of government legal backing if taken to court while enforcing the law and executing their mandate. He assured, “If you are sued, bring that letter to Harambee House and continue with your work. Don’t take it as a personal challenge. We are your defenders.”
He asked chiefs to remain true to their service doctrine, and those who are conflicted about their loyalty to the president to resign.
