Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Wambugu has expressed his lack of confidence in the IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati over his recent remarks, targeting cabinet secretaries over their alleged involvement in politics.
Ngunjiri who was speaking in Nyeri stated it is high time the top commission's job was given to someone else, adding that the chairman has failed to play as a neutral referee in the game.
Citing an example in the recently concluded Kiambaa by-elections, Ngunjiri said most of the Jubilee party officials had no official cards.
Ngunjiri added that they later received information from the electorate body preventing MPs from acting as polling agents.
Ngunjiri said DP Ruto is part of the Cabinet and has actively been in politics but Chebukati has never written a caution letter to him.
