Dr Kalebi revealed that Dr Omar contracted the Coronavirus while attending to Covid-19 patients at Kajiado Hospital and died while being treated for the same virus at Nairobi Hospital.

“This is so painful right now. Just lost our senior colleague clinician from Kibra daktari Said Omar formerly of @Amref_Kenya. Contracted COVID-19 at work in a Kajiado Hospital. He sent us this photo from ICU in Nairobi Hospital literally bidding farewell,” said Dr Kalebi on Twitter.
