The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has described new Acting ICT Authority CEO Kipronoh Ronoh as an ICT Guru who will greatly transform the sector.

In a statement, ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru described Ronoh as an ICT Guru saying his appointment would greatly benefit the ICT sector.

The change at the ICT Authority comes at a time when Kenya Kenya has stepped up ICT investment in all sectors to spearhead economic growth and enhance service delivery.

Ronoh has been serving as the head of ICT and Quality Management System at Kenya Urban Roads Authority and Head of ICT at Kenya Civil Aviation Authority.

Mucheru added by saying his vast experience made him be appointed and take up the position of acting CEO.

"The ICT guru has been the director for programs and standards at the Authority and key player behind the government national backbone fibre-optic infrastructure among other critical projects," said Mucheru.

Ronoh takes over from Katherine Getao who proceeds on terminal leave.
