Musalia Mudavadi has dismissed the hustler narrative and asked Kenyans to embrace hard work to make ends meet.
Speaking during the burial ceremony of the late Mzee Samuel Masikonde, a prominent businessman in Kisiriri Village, Narok County, Mudavadi affirmed that for Kenyans to have a brighter future, everyone must work together to revive the dwindling economy and create room for growth and job creation and not depend on handouts.
He ridiculed the hustler narrative that has been going on in the country as a negative approach towards archiving a prosperous nation.
He added by saying it is now the right time for leaders of this country to get their priorities right by referring to the population trend that is 70% comprising the youth who are either unemployed or underemployed.
“We don’t want Kenya to be a hustling nation, we want Kenya to be a thriving nation, and we should not glorify the hustle and poverty, we need to sweat so that we can thrive as a country," said Mudavadi.
